MUSCLE / ImageCLEF Workshop on Image and Video Retrieval Evaluation

Discussion topics: The proceedings of the workshop are available. The workshop was organised as a joint venture by the ImageCLEF campaign and the MUSCLE EU Network of Excellence. It is planned to conduct a combined MUSCLE-ImageCLEF evaluation campaign in 2006. This workshop began efforts towards this campaign. The following points were discussed at the workshop:

1. where are we now with respect to evaluation of image and video information retrieval
2. what are the main issues
3. where would we like to be
4. what can be done to move towards these goals in 2006 (i.e. planning the MUSCLE-CLEF evaluation 2006).
